Self-taught guitarist, composer, and songwriter Vicki Genfan is a musical force of nature. She pioneered a percussive style of guitar playing known as “slap tap,” and she also plays in 37 different tunings! In her long career she has redefined what is possible on acoustic guitar. Don’t miss her debut at The Long Room, the perfect venue to appreciate her unique art and music. Opening for Vicki is Kadey Ballard, a homegrown singer-songwriter with a sonic palette every bit as lush in enveloping as our main act. A perfect musical pairing, together these two unique artists will create an unforgettable evening!

A tragic crime takes center stage as your detective skills become the star of the show in DEAD AIR, an all-new murder mystery dinner theatre production. Featuring a phenomenal cast of professional actors and produced by Sigmon Theatrical (creators of immersive experiences The Wonderland Experience and The Sleepy Hollow Adventure), you'll be transported back in time to the 1940's as you join the studio audience of WJZY's radio hour. Murder is on the menu and the killer is on the loose. Go behind-the-scenes and help solve the crime between commercial breaks. The action will unfold all around you, with some guests even finding themselves becoming important characters inside of the story. Only one question remains... who's the murderer? This is not your usual Murder Mystery experience - It's a high-class evening of theatre and mystery that will have you laughing one minute and gasping the next!

Come join us for a special intimate acoustic evening at The Long Room featuring Fetherpocket Stringband (Ian Pasquini on fiddle, Jason "Greazy Keys" Atkids on piano, Cameron "Gersh" Godwin on bass, and Beau Sigmon on mandolin), Woody, and Young Mister. All proceeds go towards the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina Emergency and Disaster Response Fund.

Queen City Concerts Presents The Signature Series: Janeta Jackson Lynn
INTRODUCING
…The Signature Series: a new cabaret program designed to elevate, transcend, and spotlight the finest performers with the finest entertainment experience. Modeled after Feinstein’s 54 Below in New York City, The Signature Series presents exclusive one-night only cabaret performances with timed seatings at The Long Room. This series invites patrons to explore programming fit for the Queen City in an environment like never before.
HOW IT WORKS
On select Sunday evenings throughout the year, The Long Room transitions into the “The Signature Series Lounge”, the exclusive home of the Signature Series. Two, 60-minute performances take place in one evening, with timed seatings provided for patrons prior to the start of each performance. Charcuterie and drink service continues through the performance, and checks are closed at the culmination of the first performance to make way for the second round of seatings.

LUKE SEVEREID is a hill-hiking, metal-music-loving, chrome-dome-having stand-up comedian from Seattle, WA. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest with the plaids and IPA-fueled husk to prove it, he has spent the last decade yelling jokes all over the US and Canada, and recently relocated to the East Coast, landing in the sufficiently hilly & silly Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
LUKE’s comedic style has been described as insightfully idiotic, aggressively absurd, and most accurately, unmedicated ADHD in action. Besides looking identical to your favorite bouncer/bass player, Luke was also recently in the Big Sky Comedy Festival, a semifinalist in the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and a winner of Best Comedy Film at HUMP! Film Festival. Millions have enjoyed his stand-up videos online, and no matter who you are or where you’re from, he is GUARANTEED to get a giggle or two out of you.

Expanding from abstract expressionism, Jonay's work speaks of human experiences such as pleasure, rebirth, tension, empathy, and gratitude. He employs texture and expressive movement to create dynamic undulations of color and light. Impasto, sgraffito, scratches, punctures, gems, clay, mica, and crystals – these are just a few materials of his visual vocabulary.
Jonay is proudly represented by Lexicon Gallery, a Charlotte-based art agency that supports contemporary artists with collaborative spirit, fostering connection and healing through art.
We believe that art is for everyone, thus an array of Jonay's paintings are available that range in size and price, as well as a variety of his one-of-a-kind works of "wearable art," handbags, wallets, totes, and coffee table books signed by the artist. Internationally-renowned visual artist and fashion designer Jonay di Ragno brings his iconic aesthetic of radiant hues, expressive textures, dazzling accents and mixed media monochromes to both wearable works-of-art and artworks for the walls in this electrifying Opening Night: Wednesday, July 10, 6-9pm to kickstart his Artist Residency at The Long Room.

From the Canary Islands to the West Indies, Jonay was destined for his life’s journey in art. Di Ragno exhibits extensively in Barcelona, Madrid, Tenerife, Morocco, San Juan, Cuba, and nationally in New York, Chicago, Miami, Charleston, Raleigh, and Charlotte. His works can be found in the corporate collections of the Marriott and Hilton, in the permanent collection of The Mint, and in private collections around the world.

The wonderful owners of TheLongRoom / TangoCLT has a little surprise for us at the top of the show that you do NOT want to miss !
Parking is very limited, there are about 30 spots at the location, when that is full, you can find parking either in the main Plaza Midwood area and walk down (The closest public parking lot is on Central Ave. right next to the traintracks, besides Thirsty Beaver) or Uber.
TheLongRoom does not serve food, so plan accordingly!

RACHEL BAIMAN + HIGHLAND REVERIE
For one night only, this Americana and Folk lineup will fill the rafters of The Long Room in a unique listening room performance. We invite you to join us and explore the touring artists below.
The Long Room is a private event space recently opened up in the heart of Plaza Midwood and features a second story mezzanine which will serve as the VIP area. Doors will open at 7:30pm and the show will start at 8pm. We ask all ticket holders to arrive prior to the show to respect the artists providing this experience.
